The Rapture Is Imminent

There is no doubt in all Bible believing scholars that the Rapture is imminent. The Rapture is going to happen suddenly and without warning.

Pre-Tribulation Or Mid-Tribulation Rapture?

The time when it will happen seems to be divided between whether it will happen before the 7 year Tribulation Period or in the middle of the Tribulation. There is strong evidence for both theories. The question is simply “Which one do you want to believe?”

Personally, I see the world getting worse and worse until the rapture happens. People will be getting apathetic to all these disasters. In other words, they will accept them as just something that is happening, whether it is from God or not. They will believe that there is nothing that we can do about them, except to help those affected by these events.

However, born-again Christians will see these events as a sign that the Rapture is imminent.

Wars, famines, etc.

Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 24:6-7 (NIV): “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.”

Jesus seems to be describing the opening of the first 5 seals in Revelation. These are events that are happening right now. I believe that they are just going to get worse. In the past, wars were fought between nations. This is the first time in history that a war is being fought between kingdoms. Right now, the kingdom of radical Islam is waging a war against the kingdom of God (Jews and Christians). Famines and earthquakes are becoming more and more prevalent.

Are we seeing the beginning of the Tribulation Period right now? Has the Tribulation Period already started? I don’t know. All I know is that these signs are already happening. All this is really telling us is that the Rapture is Imminent.

God’s Church Is Saved

Paul tells us in I Thess. 1:10 that Jesus does rescue us from the coming wrath. But, many, many Christians are going through tribulation right now. Many are now being tortured and killed for their faith. Many Christians are experiencing famine and earthquakes. It is just not yet worldwide. It is not yet as devastating as Revelation says it will get.

So, the question is: “When will the Rapture happen?” When will God’s Church be saved and taken out of the world? When will we be saved and taken away from the coming wrath. How much worse will it get before, or even after, the Church is taken out of the world?

These are questions that none of us can answer. Even Jesus stated that He did not know. Matthew 24:36 (NIV): “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

What Does That Mean For Us?

It means that we need to be ready for the Rapture to happen at any moment. It could be today, it could be many years from now. The time is not important. The fact is.

Do you believe that the Rapture is imminent? If you do, then I am sure that you have already given your heart and life to Jesus. You have already accepted Him as your Lord and Savior.

However, if you believe that the Rapture will happen and you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you are the most foolish person alive. You know that the Rapture will happen and yet you are not ready for it.

Do you expect to accept Jesus as the Rapture is happening? You won’t have time. Remember 1 Cor. 15:51-52 (NIV) says: “Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed– in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.”

When the trumpet sounds, it will be too late. There will be no bargaining with God. You will be destined to go through the Great Tribulation, either as a friend of God or an enemy of God. There is no middle ground.

Your Choice

So, if you do believe in God, then you will make a choice either now or after the Rapture. Personally, I would not want to have to make this decision after the Rapture happens. As bad as things are now, it will be much worse during the Great Tribulation Period.

My choice was to make my decision for Jesus right now, before the Rapture. How about you? If you do want to make that choice right now, go to “How To Live Forever” and learn how to make that choice.
